SURVIVAL OF RAINBOW

I will shine bright like a rainbow,

Like the celebration of survivalism.

I will live like a rainbow,

Like the survival of rainbow.

How many of your Gods expressed us?

How many of your temples celebrate us?

How many of your gods were born to us?

How many of your gods fell in love and made love to us, that which you call Unnatural?

How many of you come to us with prayers in your lips, in hours of distress?

And yet how do you repay us?

Shocked about your sensibility of belief and reality.

You thrashed and insulted us in the streets,

You ogled and gawked at us in public,

You mocked and blew out the flames of our love,

You cursed and cornered us for all mishaps,

You deceived and duped us from ancestral and social rights.

But you prayed infront of Gods who expressed us,

Shocked about your sensitivity of belief and reality.

You are frightened by our duality,

In expression, might and consciousness.

You are terrified by our nature,

The one that you call Unnatural.

And you are disturbed by the power of our unity in diversity.

That’s why you set us aside from actuality,

Shocked about your state of belief and reality.

You have oppressed women from social acceptance,

The downtrodden and weak from social power structure,

And the class and caste from social distinction.

Just like us, whom you cast aside from social consciousness,

Because you fear sharing, the parting of power and capital.

Now the history resonates with a revolution,

Shocked about your history of belief and reality.

Through embers of endurance we inherit,

From the ones you kept under your feet,

Will ignite the fire of our survival,

Reflecting through drops of tolerance,

And will shine like a spectrum of colours.

I will shine bright like a rainbow,

Like the celebration of survivalism.

I will live like a rainbow,

Like the survival of rainbow.
