For me, filmmaking combines all my passions – Literature, Photography, Painting and Architecture. My vision of films is socio-political as well as exploration and address of the identity crisis of individuals, society, beliefs and history. I believe cinema viewing is both a passive and an active process. Paraphrasing Ingmar Bergman “No art passes our conscience in the way film does and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our soul”. Hence social commitment is integral to my films.
I have been in the movie industry for 7 years and I learned the craft of direction & scripting from veteran south Indian Filmmakers like Hariharan and Blessy.
